It's no secret that safety is a top priority for all drivers. The Ram 1500 has many great safety features to make sure you and your passengers are safe, including the following:
- Brake Assist System (BAS)
This system senses when the brakes are applied too rapidly and increases braking to help you maintain control of your vehicle.
- Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross Path detection
This system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor other vehicles on either side of your truck. A visual warning will display on each door's exterior mirror if there is a car in your blind spot. If you switch lanes, the Cross Path detection system will detect the vehicle and activate an audible warning letting you know of the danger behind you before changing lanes.
- Front Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation
This system uses radar sensors to monitor traffic that may be in front of you. It will give you a visual and audible warning if there is a possible collision ahead. If that system detects an unavoidable collision, it will activate the safety features on your Ram 1500 to attempt to avoid and/or mitigate the collision (if unavoidable).
