The Ram 1500 Sets the Stage for Greatness
While some might think of the Ram 1500 as our most "basic" of trucks, it is anything but. The Ram 1500 is certainly the model that other Ram trucks have followed in terms of its overall versatility. Available on the Ram 1500 is the 5.7-Liter, 395-Horsepower HEMI® V8 engine which generates 410 pound-feet of engine torque and allows the Ram 1500 to tow up to 10,620 pounds. This HEMI® V8 engine comes standard on the Ram 2500.

In addition to the existing trim levels, configurations and standard 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine carried over from the Ram 1500, the Ram 2500 comes available with a 6.4-Liter, 410-Horsepower Heavy Duty V8 HEMI® and a Cummins® 6.7-Liter, 370 Horsepower Turbo Diesel Inline-Six Engine. The 6.4-Liter HEMI® engine gives the Ram 2500 a 3,990-pound carrying payload and 16,320 pounds of towing capacity while the Cummins® 6.7-Liter I6 Turbo Diesel engine gives the truck a 3,160-pound payload and 17,980 pounds of towing capacity.
Powertrain is only one part of what gives a pickup truck its capabilities, the suspension plays a big role in keeping the truck stable and safe, which is why the Ram 2500 has so much to offer where a smooth ride is concerned. In the back of the trick, you'll find a five-link coil suspension, which reduces the friction caused by the engine and wheel traction without sacrificing the payload or towing capacity of the truck itself. Available for rear suspension is an Auto-Leveling Rear Air Suspension which allows you to select between payload and towing settings to adjust the suspension to meet your needs.
